Eden Camp

Eden Camp was great and throughout these few sentences I will encourage you to go there.

When you arrive, just in the entrance you'll be amazed with the real tanks that were actually fighting in World War 1 and World War 2.  If you go a little further in there will be huts named from 1 to 29 and they're all as good as eachother.

Did you know?

  • In 1940 paper was in such short supply that wrapping most items was forbidden - despite this English 'Vogue' was published through out the war years.
  • Between 1939 and 1945 60,000 men and women as well as children were killed by enemy action on the home front.
  • In 1940 the use of sugar for a cake's icing was prohibited - tiered wedding cakes were frequently made of cardboard and were hired from bakers.
