The House System

Our school has four House Groups:-

Derwent Foss Ouse Swale

Each pupil is allocated to a house on their entrance to the school and their siblings will be assigned to the same house as each one reaches junior school age.

Throughout their time at school the children have opportunities to gain points for their House either as individuals or groups in both classroom and sport activities. This encourages pupils to develop a sense of commitment, loyalty and responsibility and gain recognition for this. The House system is designed to teach pupils to be part of a team.
